Whitney Showler, LMFT
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
I believe every person can benefit from greater self awareness. My goal is to support you through life's challenges, providing new insight, skills and emotional tools to make choices you're proud of and live a purposeful life.
I can help with professional challenges, interpersonal relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, conflict resolution and domestic violence either current or historical. I create a caring and supportive environment and work together with my clients to gain a better understanding of the learned behavior, past experiences, and belief systems that led them to unhealthy coping skills that are no longer serving them. I work to enable better choices through self awareness.
I work with individuals of all ages as well as couples. I have additional experience working with men who are struggling with their anger and the behaviors it evokes. I have also had success helping people experiencing anxiety and depression. Utilizing evidence-based treatment methods, mindfulness and the principles of neuroscience, I provide a safe and empathic space for reflection, support, insight and new perspectives.
