Ronnie Fernandez, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I started my practice due to the lack of resources for man’s mental health.
I understand that depression in men may look different then what most people think. The symptoms may look like an increase in irritability, aggressiveness, impulsiveness, angry outbursts, change in concentration, sleep, change in weight, change in sexual interest and withdrawal from relationships.
I understand that men deal with life’s problems differently than women. Everyday life, the big and small changes, and pressures we create for ourselves can become very overwhelming. As a husband and father to two young children, I understand that the role of men in home and work life has dramatically changed over the last few generations.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): A form of talk therapy that trains clients to recognize patterns of unproductive thinking and learn healthier responses to challenging situations.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy: is a therapeutic approach that emphasizes a client’s vision and solution instead of a source of their problems. Clinicians practicing SFBT guide clients towards engaging solutions and plans for actualizing them.
Cognitive Behavioral Social Skills Therapy (CBSST): is a form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) treatment specifically tailored to Schizophrenia. Through CBSST clients learn strategies that help them articulate their emotions, address problems and maneuver through solutions, and participate in corrective thinking.

Community & Identity Statement
I understand that most men deal with life’s problems differently than women. Yoga, basic meditation, and generic therapy don’t work well for most guys. Everyday life, the big and small changes, and pressures we create for ourselves can become very overwhelming. Single men, men with young families, middle-aged men with adult children, and men who are retired all feel a need to help their families while maintaining a sense of purpose for their own lives. Ronnie specializes with the following age cohorts:
Young Adults (18-35)
